- Obtaining personal information
Iwatsu will obtain only the personal information it requires for business purposes. All personal information is obtained legally and via correct methods.
- Using personal information
Iwatsu will use the personal information it obtains from its customers solely for the following purposes (hereafter, Purposes of Use). No information is used for other than these Purposes of Use. Any change in these Purposes of Use will be either reported to the person in question or published via Iwatsu's website or other media.
[Purposes of Use of Personal Information]
1) To sell or supply products and/or services handled by Iwatsu.
2) To provide after sales service to customers who have purchased products and/or services from Iwatsu.
3) To provide information about products and/or services handled by Iwatsu, such as upgrades.
4) To introduce new products and events for products and/or services handled by Iwatsu.
5) To conduct market research, via questionnaires, etc., on products and/or services handled by Iwatsu.
Note that Iwatsu may continue to use personal information obtained from customers in the past as follows.
1) Personal information obtained from customers via maintenance contracts, purchased product registration cards, user registration cards, repair requests, etc., will be used to conduct servicing of customers' products within the warranty period, and to conduct safety checks of customers' products after the warranty period has expired.
2) If the personal information obtained from a customer in the past is to be used for a purpose other than the purposes agreed when the information was obtained, or if the personal information is to be supplied to a third party, Iwatsu may do so provided permission has been obtained from the customer, and only for the purpose(s) agreed to by the customer.
- Disclosing or supplying personal information to a third party
Iwatsu will appropriately manage personal information provided by customers and will not disclose or supply customers' personal information to a third party, except under one of the following conditions. Moreover, even if Iwatsu discloses or supplies information to a third party under one of the following conditions, Iwatsu will require the recipient of the personal information to handle that information with the same degree of security as Iwatsu.
The conditions are:
1) The customer agrees.
2) Iwatsu has outsourced the delivery of the customer's product and/or materials to a forwarder or a warehousing company under contract to Iwatsu.
3) Due to business circumstances, Iwatsu has outsourced some of its operations (including sales and technical support operations) to a subsidiary company, subcontractor, or business partner.
4) Personal information must be provided to a financial institution in order to settle an account for products or fee-based services.
5) Iwatsu is legally required to disclose the personal information.
6) Iwatsu's business is to be transferred for reasons such as merger, corporate division, or sale of business.
